1. Introduction

Welcome to the Restrofuel Waiter App ("we," "our," or "us"). This application is an internal business tool designed for restaurant staff (waiters, cashiers, and managers) to interact with their restaurant's local Restrofuel Point of Sale (POS) server.

This Privacy Policy explains how our application handles data. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information Handled by the App

Because this App operates primarily as a client connecting to a locally hosted or privately networked server, the data it handles is strictly limited to facilitating restaurant operations:

• Staff Login Credentials: The App requires a username and password assigned by your restaurant management to authenticate your session.
• Customer Order Data: As a staff member, you will input customer data (such as orders, table numbers, and occasionally customer names or phone numbers for reservations/delivery). This data is transmitted directly to your restaurant's local Restrofuel server. We, the developers of Restrofuel, do not intercept, store, or monetize this customer data on external cloud servers.
• Network and Device Information: The App requires access to your device's local network state (Wi-Fi/LAN) or VPN (e.g., Tailscale) to locate and connect to the restaurant's local server. We may also collect basic crash logs and device information to help us troubleshoot and improve the App's performance.
• Camera Access (If Applicable): If enabled, the App may request camera permissions solely for the purpose of scanning QR codes (e.g., for table identification). Images are processed on the device and are not uploaded to our servers.

3. How We Use the Information

Any information processed by the App is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• To authenticate you as an authorized staff member.
• To transmit Kitchen Order Tickets (KOTs) and billing information directly to your restaurant's POS system.
• To diagnose technical issues and improve the stability of the software.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information or restaurant operational data with third-party marketers or advertisers. Data is only transmitted between your mobile device and your restaurant's designated Restrofuel server.

5. Data Retention and Deletion (Google Play Requirement)

The Restrofuel Waiter App does not maintain independent user accounts on our corporate servers; your account exists solely on your restaurant's local database.

To request the deletion of your account or data:

• You must contact your restaurant's Administrator or Manager.
• They have the ability to deactivate or delete your user profile directly from the Restrofuel POS system's admin dashboard.
• Once deleted by your administrator, you will no longer be able to log into the App.

6. Security

The security of your operational data relies on the security of the network your restaurant uses (e.g., secure Wi-Fi, Tailscale VPN, or local network firewalls). We encourage restaurant administrators to maintain secure network environments to protect the data transmitted by this App.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our software or regulatory requirements. The updated policy will be indicated by a revised "Effective Date."
